URL Change

I will hopefully be changing my URL sometime before December 31st. I have not figured out the web address yet, because I don’t know what valid domain names are open. I love WordPress, it is free, but sometimes I wish I had a real “.com” address.

Design completed, work under way

1HDPN2 almost finished, neck&chest area in progress, final wiring started. Richard, I decided will not have skin. It would be too difficult to buy custom silicone. Well, happy whatever holidays there are in August!

More Progress

I am sorry I couldn’t post new info, but we are making lots of progress on the control panel and ACS system. Taking a bit of a break today, though I did have the energy to go and post more! Hopefully Richard™ will be completed sometime next year.

Progress

There has been progress on the wooden support structure for 1HDPN2, the term used for the head. I have also begun the systems for the hands, arms, and legs.

Updates

I have made some important updates to Richard in the form of drawings. A common question you might ask us: “Have we started on the building of this robot?” The answer is yes, but not of the more complicated building of the hands and such. We are working mainly on the emergency grounding system and the air cooling system, known as ACS. I will try to update new information ASAP.

I am building a cool android robot (not available to consumers) named Richard. lt will hopefully be done by 2010. Here’s a picture of some plans…
